Who we are

Capulum College is a remedial school

It is a small school that caters for the needs of all children who have learning challenges and concentration problems.

Each day we encounter new learners who are challenged because of their learning problems, their medical needs and emotional difficulties. At this remedial school we also work with children who do not cope in mainstream schools for one reason or another.

Our goal at Capulum College is to help you and your child whatever the problem. With your input, our remedial school can help you to help your child to reach his or her dreams.

Put simply, we believe in your child – or as Steve Jobs memorably put it:

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

Capulum College works with your child in five key areas, namely:

Dylind was a struggler at school. At Capulum College he settled, he learnt using a tactile approach and he started to succeed. Dylind is now content and succeeding. To any parent with a child with a learning disability, we suggest approaching Jenni Underwood for the best advantage!

Finding the right high school for Peter was a nightmare which was very frustrating as they just could not see his potential. He enrolled at Capulum College and has matriculated. With hard work and self-motivation, which Jenni and the teachers instilled in him with patience and skill, he achieved. I will be forever grateful.

For years we tried to find a school for Amahle. In 2017 we found the best school. Capulum College is not just a school but a home for our children. My daughter is now at Capulum College – she has improved and now she knows how to behave. Thank you, Capulum College. God will bless you continuously. You brought hope and happiness back.

Buhle – Amahle’s mother

I wish to express my gratitude for the quality of education and curriculum suited to my son’s learning difficulty. He continues to show improvement. He is a happier child because he is in a school that understands him. I wish to thank Jenni for authentic leadership and genuine care for the children. Gift has now decided that he wants to use the skills he has learned from Capulum College on how to run a business and join these skills with sewing/tailoring that he wishes to learn soon. He wants to open a clothing business.

Thank you so much for the support, I am so pleased with Aphiwe’s results. I am so proud of you guys, and I can’t seem to find appropriate words to thank you.

We would first like to express our gratitude for the time and patience the educators and staff of Capulum College have given to our son. We have seen and still continue to see improvement and progress with his social abilities, as well as his academic abilities as we see on the WhatsApp group, as well as feedback from educators.
